A plein art painting from a northern point of Thailand, right on the Myanmar border. I sat here for a few hours and watched the various people cross the bridge, and I was one of only three tourists I saw. A magical view.
About Craig Macnaughton
Toronto-based artist, graphic designer and filmmaker Craig Macnaughton uses watercolour and pen and ink to examine both the distant landscape and the human form. Having travelled extensively throughout Europe, Southeast Asia and South America, he has spent hours painting in front of famous landmarks, sacred temples and busy street markets to bring together his various influences – Schiele, Klee, the Impressionists, 20th century graphic and interactive design – and apply them to his subjects in a unique and modern way.
