I found myself in Concepcion for a day on my travels south in Chile, and I'm glad I did. This cathedral was very inspiring, and had a great little square in front of it to enjoy as I painted.
About Craig Macnaughton
Toronto-based artist, graphic designer and filmmaker Craig Macnaughton uses watercolour and pen and ink to examine both the distant landscape and the human form. Having travelled extensively throughout Europe, Southeast Asia and South America, he has spent hours painting in front of famous landmarks, sacred temples and busy street markets to bring together his various influences – Schiele, Klee, the Impressionists, 20th century graphic and interactive design – and apply them to his subjects in a unique and modern way.
